This Privacy Policy explains how Kanji & Kotoba handles information when you use the app. Kanji & Kotoba is a Japanese word quiz app that stores quiz progress and app settings on your device and uses Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate product usage.

Information Stored On Your Device

The app stores the following information locally on your device to provide app functionality:

• onboarding completion state
• language preference
• text-size preference
• daily quiz completion state
• quiz scores, streak count, total sessions, and related progress statistics

This local information is used to show progress, streaks, settings, and daily completion state. The app does not provide account login, cloud sync, or server-side progress recovery.

Analytics

Kanji & Kotoba uses Firebase Analytics to collect app usage analytics. This helps us understand how the app is used and improve app quality and product experience.

Analytics events may include product usage events such as quiz start, quiz completion, feature usage, screen usage, app version, device model, operating-system version, language or region settings, and approximate usage timing.

The current analytics implementation does not intentionally send user identity, account information, advertising identifiers, raw question text, raw answer text, payment information, contact information, or session replay recordings.

Firebase Analytics is provided by Google Firebase. Google may process analytics data according to Firebase and Google terms and privacy practices.

Information We Do Not Collect

The current app does not collect or upload:

• account registration information
• login credentials, name, email address, or profile information
• payment or purchase information
• user-generated content
• cloud-synced quiz progress

Device Permissions

The current app does not request access to camera, microphone, location, contacts, photo library, or app tracking permission.

Ads

Kanji & Kotoba uses Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK to show ads. The ads SDK may collect or process approximate location estimated from IP address, device identifiers or advertising identifiers, ad display, click, and video-view data, app launch and ad-related interaction data, crash logs, and performance data for ad serving, measurement, fraud prevention, and ad quality improvement.

The current app requests non-personalized ads and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.

This data may be processed by Google and advertising providers involved in ad delivery. When personalized ads or regional consent is required, the app or operating system settings may present choices for ads and tracking. The current app does not intentionally send raw question text, raw answer text, account information, payment information, or contact information to the ads SDK.

Purchases

The current app does not include in-app purchases, subscriptions, paywalls, or purchase restoration.

Children

Kanji & Kotoba is a general Japanese word quiz app. It does not include account creation, social features, direct messaging, or user-generated content.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes, including changes to analytics, purchases, ads, crash reporting, account features, cloud sync, or other network services. The updated policy will be published at this URL.
